Has MBA degree with a focus on management and development issues and a bachelor's degree in commerce. Has participated in national and international training courses/seminars on: Logical Framework and Project Cycle Management, Peace Building and Development, Gender and Development, Participatory Rural Appraisal, Training of Trainers, Small Business Consultancy and Action Learning Techniques.

Has over 16 years of professional experience and competency in designing, implementing and evaluating development interventions mostly in Nepal and India under contracts mainly from development agencies like the UNICEF, UNDP, WFP, ILO, World Bank, DANIDA, GTZ, DfID, EU, SDC, SNV and HMG, and undertakings supported by them. The exposure includes a wide spectrum of development fields/sectors with very high degree of familiarity with small/micro business development and rural community infrastructure development. Specific achievements during the last 10 years include design and implementation of (i) over 100 organization development, capacity building training and workshops, (ii) project/program evaluations, studies and assessments, (iii) Social mobilization in food-assisted rural infrastructure projects characterized by high levels of people participation, transparency, accountability, and efficiency with virtual absence of leakage and corruption, and (iv) Strategic planning workshop facilitation.
