Has MBA degree with a focus on management and development issues and a bachelor's degree in engineering. Has participated in national and international training courses/seminars on: Logical Framework and Project Cycle Management, Gender and Development, Participatory Rural Appraisal, Training of Trainers_ New Business Creation, Action Learning Techniques, and Project Appraisal.

Has over 22 years of professional experience (including initial 10 years in the public/government sector) and competency in designing, implementing and evaluating development interventions mostly in Nepal and some in Cambodia, South Africa and Indonesia under contracts mainly from development agencies like the WFP, World Bank, UNDP, GTZ, DfID, EU, SDC, Helvetas, Danida, CIDA, USAID, and SNV, and undertakings supported by them. The exposure includes a wide spectrum of development fields/sectors with very high degree of familiarity with small/micro business development and rural community infrastructure development. Specific achievements during the last 10 years include design and implementation of (i) over 100 organization development, capacity building training and workshops, (ii) over 35 project/program evaluations, studies and assessments, (iii) food-assisted rural infrastructure projects characterized by high levels of people participation, transparency, accountability, and efficiency with virtual absence of leakage and corruption, and (iv) several staff recruitment and selection activities resulting in hiring of more than 90 senior level professionals for development agencies, government and the private sector.
