Has Master's degree in development studies with a focus on local and regional development, and another Master's degree in economics with focus on mathematical economics and internal migration in Nepal. Has participated in national and international training courses/seminars on: Logical Framework Approach and Project Cycle Management, Gender and Development, Participatory Rural Appraisal, Training of Trainers-New Business Creation, Entrepreneurship Development Training and Small Business Consultancy, Metaplan and Action Learning Techniques, Appreciative Inquiry, In-Process Consultancy, and Conflict Sensitive Development.

Has over 18 years of professional experience and competency in designing, implementing and evaluating development interventions in Nepal under contracts mainly from development agencies like the DFID, UNDP, UNICEF, ILO, GTZ, EU, World Bank, SDC, The Asia Foundation, Acton-Aid Nepal, Plan International, Danida, SNV, and undertakings supported by them. The exposure includes a wide spectrum of development fields with very high degree of familiarity with small/micro business development, self-help and local development initiatives, and rural community infrastructure development. Specific achievements during the last 10 years include design and implementation of (i) over 150 capacity building training and workshops, (ii) food-assisted rural infrastructure projects characterized by high levels of people participation, transparency, accountability, and efficiency with virtual absence of leakage and corruption, (iii) over 50 periodic and strategic planning workshops facilitation, and (iv) over 15 project/program evaluations, studies and assessments.
